About Me

My name is Aylie, and I am a freelance Graphic Designer from Fayetteville, AR. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2023, where I completed a BFA in Graphic Design. Ever since graduating, I have worked on a variety of projects from many backgrounds, including small content creators, non-profit organizations, local businesses, and trade schools. I've been so grateful for every opportunity I've been given to design and create for those in my local community while maintaining a full-time position in an unrelated field, and I cannot wait to do more!

My Work

Freelance Work: Spare Change
(local Non-Profit Organization)

Spare Change is a non-profit organization in Fayetteville, Arkansas that is a community-funded thrift store that provides the community with free clothes, home goods, food and so much more. My sister is the co-founder of the organization, and in recent months have helped build a website, create in-store signage, and create social media posts. I also volunteer on occasion at the store, as they've had overwhelming support from Fayetteville's community and are constantly trying to keep up with donations.

Freelance Work: Twitch

Twitch Channel Emotes: VeryUnemployed

Original Set:
Most Recent:

Most of my commission work with this specific client is focused mostly on creating emotes. He already had the branding and vision for each emote coming in to each session, so my job was to bring his brief sketches and idea descriptions to life. This series of cardboard box emotes are mainly used during his live chat when he streams on the platform Twitch. The image on the left shows these in action, reflecting a variety of emotions and even referencing popular memes and/or other emotes on the platform. I work closely with him on revisions to perfect each one to reflect his vision, and even got connections to my second ever client through him.

College Projects:
Logo Design,
Packaging Design,
& More

Westport Floral: Brand Redesign

Westport Floral is a independent flower company in Kansas City. They specialize in customized arrangements for a wide variety of occasions. My assignment was to take their old logo (prior to their updated website in 2020-2021) and give it a more modernized look. I took a hand-drawn approach for the graphic within the logo and complimented it with a couple different sans-serif and serif fonts. The final product resulted in a simple tulip drawing with varying thicknesses in strokes, paired with a serif font. The mock-ups are also accompanied by a pattern I made with a secondary logo that combines the abbreviation of their brand, 'WF'.

SheerZinc Ad & New Packaging

SheerZinc, in this project, went from Illustrator flat artwork to a physical print via packaging, as well as a video advertisement made for a social media post. Drug  store brands like Neutrogena commonly have a default font within a black bar, so this redesign was to give it a bit of a face lift. The ad above was constructed to loop endlessly, perfect for posts seen on Instagram and Twitter.

Billiards Beer

This is my most ambitious print project, a 6-pack carrier and bottle design called Billiards Beer. Inspired by the fond memories of family and friends shooting pool at my childhood home, this design has taught me so much about how to work with packaging, but also allowed me to have a lot of fun bringing a piece of my childhood into design.

Podcast Redesign

This is a podcast rebranding I did in one of my graphic design courses. The goal was to change the logo of a podcast of my choosing and fit it into the template within the left and right images above. Each of the three options for the podcast cover had to be entirely different (one with realistic components, one type-based, and one misc.).
